Encouraging Scripture-Don't Sell God Short

In Joel Osteen's book "Now is Your Time," he tells the story of a passenger on a boat who went off to himself every night and just ate cheese and crackers because he brought no money for fancy meals.  He later found out that the meals were included with his ticket at no extra charge.  He had been losing out on good food because he set his expectations too low.  Don't we often do that with God?  Don't we limit our expectations out of fear of being disappointed?  Today's scripture invites us to check Him out, to wall in the fullness of the blessings He is waiting to give us, but we just don't ask for.

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
