I've heard plenty of people complain about how following Jesus would put a crimp in their lifestyle because of things they would have to give up or stop doing. What they miss is that they are in bondage to those things that satisfy the flesh for the short-term, but leave our soul yearning for more. God has set us free, we aren't beholden to things that don't build up our soul. We are free to follow Him and experience the joy of the redeemed.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
