One of the hardest things we can do is to seek advice from someone. That can be misdirected pride, thinking no one can have more insight into a situation than we can. It can also be fear of yielding control by allowing someone else to participate in a decision. The Bible speaks about that in several places, particularly the Book of Proverbs. Today's scripture says the willingness to listen to someone separates a wise man from a fool. Have you heard the old cliche "half of being smart is knowing what you're dumb at?" Didn't know that was biblical, did you?
The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.
