New Encouragement for the New Year!

First, Happy New Year everyone.  Brenda and I pray that God will richly bless you in 2011.

Through the blog, Facebook, and Twitter we have been bringing you encouragement for several months now.  With the new year, it's time to upgrade what we are offering.  He's what we've got in store.

Encouragement from Scripture and History--Beginning on New Year's Day and continuing every day, we'll offer a daily bible reading plan, both in text and audio format. We'll also include encouraging items from that day in history and commemorate birthday's of people who made or are still making positive contributions to the world.  These will post at 6:00 AM EST.

Affirmation and Life Application from Scripture--We're adding some more depth to our "Encouraging Scripture" feature, reflecting some more study and leaving you with a takeaway that you can apply to your everyday life.  These will post at 7:00 EST Monday-Saturday.

Open and Affirming Sunday Worship--This will continue to post at 8:00 AM every Sunday.  We will continue to add live and archived video services throughout the year.  We also encourage you to check out our lists of affirming churches, which we continue to build.  At some point during the year, we should break 1,000, and many of them will have online audio archives.

Encouraging Music--These uplifting songs will continue to post at 10:00 AM Monday-Saturday.

Encouraging Words--Given the limits of short-form video messages from an open and affirming perspective, we are switching these to daily devotions from external sources, still focusing on uplifting and positive messages.  We will occasionally substitute an essay that fits this criterion.

Thanks for your interest in our message.  I hope you will share a link to our blog or recommend one of our social media outlets to a friend, because who can't use an encouraging word?
