Encouraging Scirpture-We all need our quiet time

I really struggle with the concept of making myself stop and, as my wife Brenda loves to tell me, "be still!"  We can get so caught up in doing that we feel guilty when we take time for ourselves to relax and recharge.  Guess what--Jesus did just that during His ministry on earth.  Despite the relative brevity of his ministry, He knew His human body could not just keep going without stopping every now and then to rest and refresh.  That's right, the most powerful man to ever walk the earth needed quiet time.  In light of that, how can we think that we don't?  Let's make a better effort to give ourselves permission to rest.

Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.
