When 12-year-old Christian Richardson was diagnosed recently with epilepsy, his parents had to pull him off his football team. Although discouraged, he found hope in a book his mother, Suzy Richardson, had just had published.
“For me, that hit home more than anything, to have my 12-year-old son read it and think ‘Well, if Tim Tebow can survive everything he went through before he even made it into this world, then I can push through this,’” she said.
Her book, “Gators for God,” features profiles of 12 former University of Florida football players who share their stories of faith and football and tell how the former has shaped their lives.
